Challenging topography and limited street frontage became assets in accentuating extraordinary city and mountain views.
A narrow façade articulates into sub-volumes of differing transparency, providing an immediate “reading” of the entry. Ceilings become progressively higher as you move through the house, revealing how the building follows the descending “pad” of the site. Interior spaces interlock with each other—increasing the perceived size of each room—while orienting to the distant cityscape.
